India’s Economic Growth Has a Silent Challenge—Financial Illiteracy. This Book Tackles It Head-On. Why do millions still rely on unregulated moneylenders despite digital banking at their fingertips? How does one’s income, education, gender, or even family structure shape their financial decisions? And why does financial well-being remain out of reach for so many Indian households? This book offers compelling answers. Focusing on the Kalaburagi district but reflecting a pan-Indian reality, this eye-opening book unpacks the critical role of financial knowledge, behavior, and attitude in shaping economic outcomes. Drawing from surveys, national strategies, and real-world case insights, it explores both the promise and peril of India’s evolving financial landscape.
