Prior to academia, Dr Prakash gained five years of corporate experience in Strategy Planning, Market Research, and Media Planning, working with brands such as Discovery Network, Tata Docomo, Samsung, Panasonic, LPU (Lovely Professional University, India), and Tupperware. She has presented her research at international conferences organized by institutions like the Indian Institute of Management Indore, Faculty of Management Studies Udaipur, and Delhi Technological University, all India.
