This collection of clinical cases brings to light insights in the management of common infectious disease presentations. The aim of this book therefore is to provide an improved level of detail required in the day-to-day management of routine and uncommon infectious disease problems. The content can therefore be applied on the bedside to directly support patient care or be used as a reference guide in elevating the clinician’s understanding and management of infectious diseases. The cases selected in this publication were curated by the author to address common referrals to infectious diseases in the Australian setting. The reader will, however, quickly realize that these cases will be no different to those they are likely to encounter in their home countries and hospitals the world over, therefore making this publication relevant to clinicians around the globe!
