The main purpose of this book is to implement deep research on the theoretical and practical aspects of Geopolitics, the overview of the role and place of geopolitics in the scientific system, the main geopolitical thoughts and concepts from ancient times till the modern period and analyze the current geopolitical realities, especially after the starting of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022. The practical topics include important aspects of the new geopolitical order, the process of globalization, national security and military strategy, interests of the leading geopolitical players (USA, EU, NATO, China, Russia, etc.), and geopolitical situations in the different regions of the world.

The book covers the global processes and will attract the interests of the representatives of different target groups from the whole world and can be introduced in the study materials of various universities, especially at the faculties of Political Sciences, International Relations, World Geography, and Security Studies.

Professor Nika Chitadze specializes in Global and Caucasus geopolitics, World Politics, International Relations, World Geography, Democracy/Human Rights, and strategic affairs. He is currently the Director of the Center for International Studies and a Professor at the International Black Sea University (Tbilisi, Georgia).

He has about 25 years of teaching experience at several universities in Georgia and several countries in Europe and has taught more than 30 lecture courses in the fields of Political Sciences, Human Geography, International relations, and Economics.

Prof Chitadze received his educational credentials in Georgia (Tbilisi State University and Diplomatic Academy of Georgia) as well as several international higher educational institutions, including the University of Oxford in the UK, George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies (Germany), and several other well-known European academic institutions. He is the author of more than 400 research/articles and fourteen books on Geopolitics, Cybersecurity, Geography, Democracy/Human Rights, and International Relations.
