Genomics is changing the way we understand, predict, and treat disease in healthcare. This book talks about how advances in sequencing, data science, and digital health are changing medicine today and will continue to do so in the future.
It looks at how genetic discoveries affect disease, and everyday health decisions, as well as the problems of equity, ethics, and access. Readers from different backgrounds can understand difficult subjects better when they are presented with case studies and examples from around the world.
The book is meant for libraries, teachers, and healthcare professionals. It has scientific authority and is easy to read. It is a useful resource for anyone who wants to know how genetics and artificial intelligence are working together towards personalized medicine.

Dr Nallur B Ramachandra began his academic career in zoology at the University of Mysore, India in 1992 and later became the founding chairman of the Department of Studies in Genetics and Genomics. He served as a postdoctoral fellow at McMaster University (Canada), senior research associate at the University of California, Los Angeles (USA), and visiting professor at the University of Innsbruck (Austria). His pioneering research spans the genetics and genomics of Drosophila, microbes, and humans, with over 290 publications recognized for several awards and fellowships. Currently, he holds the Department of Atomic Energy Dr Raja Ramanna Chair, India.

Dr Chinmayi Ramachandra Kaundinya is a scientist, educator, and innovator with over 14 years of expertise in genomics, personalized medicine, and AI-driven health technologies. A gold medalist in molecular biology from the University of Mysore and PhD graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay, she has led initiatives in rare disease genomics, digital twins, and AI-enabled drug discovery. Her integrative work in multi-omics and digital health advances precision medicine and promotes equitable access to genomic technologies.
